Same applies to tamasic and sattvic food and the distinction needs to be maintained. Depend on what kind of poison satish? There are poison that are very toxic and some are not. When I am referring to food. We are talking about food that are edible and this distinguished between sattvic and tamasic food. Len: Shaktas are in no way exempt from smriti rules. Exception is when they are perfoming rituals involving vamachara and if there is a particular rule (like some) asking them them to refrain from following a certain smriti rule. Are you a vamachara, satish? If you are not and have said once that you have no interest in Vamachara practices, then I believe you are in no position to even talk about it. What I am being told most often its people who are not Vamacharas are the one who have a very wrong idea about Vamachara practices. Information they get is second hand and not from personal experience and often misunderstood.
