They may not be who or what you expected by the way. There are many stories about those seeking the guru and finding them in unexpected ways or places. There is a poet I read once who said that if you want want to learn to be a good poet, you might want to find a good mechanic. There are skills that a good mechanic or master mechanic has that can apply to the other areas of your life. One of my best teachers I had was a slumlord. If you first met the man, you probably would not give him the time of day but as I look back at the times I was with him, I learned so much (imperfectly!) about life, spirit and faith. When I think of John T., I always have a warm place in my heart toward what he gave me. Your guru may already be at hand and you may not have seen him or her. Good luck, Eric , "N.
