Guest guest
Guarding the yellow, innermost wall of the first enclosure are the “Control Devis”. In the scheme of the Khadgamala, each of the Mudra Saktis represent a human passion that must be overcome and controlled before we can enter further into Sri Chakra. We worship each passion as an aspect of Devi, then internalize it; and when we internalize each deity, we *become* Her, so that She is not separate from us. In that way, we "conquer" each passion, just as – in the outer and middle line wall – we conquered each Siddhi and Matrikas. The procedure to control these passions is to obtain the powers of: agiting all, liquifying all (this also refers to the physical sensation of orgasm), attracting all, controlling all, maddening all, directing all, moving in all space, be the information of all, be the source (yoni) of all, be tri-fold division of all (the knower, the knowing, and the known). Once you have internalized all of the sarva devis, you have completed the process of neutralizing the urge to worldly power (siddhis) and the crippling emotions (matrikas) The sarva devis ARE the mudras that personify the ten most essential SV mudras. Sarva Kechari is the seventh [7th ] Mudra devis and in this aspect she represents the power that moves or flies all through space without regard to time or distance. Khechari lets us fly -- anywhere, free of time and space BUT she is also said to bind. According to Shri Bhasurananda Natha, Sarva Khechari was unique to srividya, and perhaps the most sophisticated and difficult mudra. ** Perhaps Devi Bhakta, Kochu, Guru Amritaji or other members would like to expand on this. ** Sarva Khechari mantra is : aim hrim shrim sarvakhecari mudrAsakti shrI pAdukAM pujayAmi tarpayAmi Namah. Location of Khechari : Continuing to circumambulate clockwise around the third layer of the wall of the First Enclosure, turn the corner and SARVA KHECHARI sits at the next corner ahead of you (looking at a flat yantra facing East, the would be the upper righthand that will be NorthEast [ NO 7, Black ] http://www.shaktisadhana.org/Photo%20Gallery/khadgamala/sridevikhadgamalalocatio\ n.html Again, the full pooja of these Devis takes hours, because at each point we pause and do smaller, detailed poojas. Hence the sages of yore created an ALTERNATIVE, SHORT-FORM recitation known as the Khadgamala Stotram more suitable for the demands of modern life. According to Sri Bhasurananda Natha an accomplish Srividya upasak as well as a member of and advisor to this group: "All of the sadhana of Srividya can be achieved by the recitation of the Khadgamala. Hours of long ritual compressed to less than half an hour of intense meditation that will give you a ticket on the same plane as the great Srividya Upasakas. Whatever your developmental stage, this is IT. Even those who have not been initiated into Srividya can benefit from the Khadgamala, which is why we chose to offer it to our members here. But again, please note that the beauty of the Khadgamala Stotram is that NOTHING is required for its recitation except for your time, attention and concentration: You need simply sit and recite the Stotram. The mantra given just above is not part of the stotram; it is offered merely for informational purposes. The entire stotram is self-contained. Thank you for your patience. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% ".. you may shoot me with your words... you may cut me with your eyes ... you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still like air, I will rise ..." (As always, I encourage other interested members to contribute and share their own understanding and experiences as well!) Well we work as a team here right? Everybody plays a part. If one member is "busy" with their non web obligation the other takes over. After all we all have our own famlies, work etc to attend to. Though its good to be able to spend longer time over the computer, I feel sometimes its good or rather healty to get away from it once in a while least we too becomes addicted. Im being told that Cyber addiction is a real medical problem now. I have seen a young patient, as soon as the computer being switch off, his "mind" to goes off. How sad sometimes. I managed to get on hold of a book entittled Cyberculture. Interesting stuff written by sociologist on the effect of the cyberspace in our daily living and the emergence of the new revolution : Cyber Culture. Okay! back to our Khadgamala Series: I wrote : Sarva Kechari is the seventh [7th ] Mudra devis and in this aspect she represents the power that moves or flies all through space without regard to time or distance. Bind us to this earthly world or should we maintain the realities of this world?
Guest guest
I was reading something, I thought might add another dimension, to Nora's explanation: This is from Dyczkowski's The Doctrine of Vibration: An analysis of the Doctrines and Practices of Kashmir Shaivism. "the powers of khechari are the very essence of the expansion of conciousness and bliss. They are the attributes of conciousness when it is in its most expanded, unconditioned state. These are five: omnipotence, omniscience, perfect completeness, freedom from natural law and eternality. At the level of the ...individual subjectivity when conciousness limits itself prior to any contact with the subjective sphere, these same powers function as the fice obscuring ...coverings which limit the five divine attributes of conciouness."[which are] the power of limited action, limited knowledge, attachment, natural law,and the power of time. Thus what gives us the power to fly free can also bind us. It can either be a source of bondage for those deluded or it can represent the powers of enlightenment.Perhaps this answers the question, to bind...? <ashwini_puralasamy> wrote: I wrote : Sarva Kechari is the > seventh [7th ] Mudra devis and in this aspect she represents the > power that moves or flies all through space without regard to > time or distance.
