Guest guest
>It is said that Lalita sits on a Lion Throne, maybe this ida came to >India fron Egypt? Or from west Asia. Kybele sits on a lion throne. Anatolian and Canaanite goddesses often ride or sit or stand on the back of lions, all the way back to the feline throne of the goddess from Catal Huyuk, circa 8000 years ago! I forgot to introduce myself before. I am a longtime goddess devotee, all over the map, literally: all forms of Parashakti, from all countries and times. I've delved deep into my pagan European roots, the goddesses of folk religions / witch traditions. Also Taoist mysticism and the Shakta path of India. I love to chant bhajans and the Names of Devi. And then there are the Original American and African teachings. I'm a historian, archivist, photographer and artist, and do slideshows on goddess traditions; just did two this last week, one on the Canaanite and Hebrew Goddess, and another on the Kemetic Goddess (ancient Nile Valley, Egypt/Nubia/Sudan). (See http://www.suppressedhistories.net/catalog/moredeasophy.html http://www.maxdashu/kindreds/neitlitany.html http://www.maxdashu/kindreds/neit.html (The last two are beautiful ancient litanies to the goddess Neit, as creator, mother, and greatest of the gods. The Egyptians had profound teachings...) I was glad to get the invitation to join this list. How could i not join one called Shakti Sadhana! even if i am already on way too many listservs. Thanks.
