Guest guest
Dear Vinay: Have you studied the Devi Gita? Bhuvaneshwari is its focus, and Her sadhana is described in great detail. If you do not read Sanskrit, I would refer you to C. MacKenzie Brown's excellent, comprehensively annotated translation, "Devi Gita: The Song of the Goddess." Guest guest
I haven't been formally initiated into her sadhana, but have been mediatating on the radiance of Bhuvanesvari in the heart, as Ambika, as Hrim (her seed-mantra), and as Parashakti and divine Source. There are some beautiful images of Bhuvaneshvari, unfortunately not in color, in David Kinsley's Tantric Visions of the Divine Feminine: The Ten Mahavidyas, Berkeley, 1997. If you are within reach of Delhi, you can see some of them in person at the National Museum, in Ajit Mookerjee's Collection of Tantric Art. The Kinsley book is a great resource to learn more about the Wisdom Goddesses, with a strong Shakta perspective. > I would refer you to C. MacKenzie Brown's >excellent, comprehensively annotated translation, "Devi Gita: The Song >of the Goddess. Yes, this English translation is beautifully done. Another starting point would be if there are 108 Names of Bhuvanesvari? Anyone know? I have read that there are ten Devi Sahasranamas (Thousand Names of Goddess) including the famous one of Sri Lalitambika, also Kali, Syama, Rajarajesvari, and others. If anyone knows where these litanies can be found, please let us know! Nothing is quite like chanting Maa's divine Names. peace, Max -- Max Dashu Suppressed Histories Archives Global Women's Studies http://www.suppressedhistories.net
Guest guest
Use Her chant and begin with an aproximation mantra of 125,000 on a six faced rudraksha mala. Then do 12,500 with Her offerings in fire. - vspfurn24 Monday, September 27, 2004 8:14 AM Sadhana of MAA BHUVANESHVARI Dear Colleagues, I want to do the sadhana and have darshan of MAA BHUVANESHVARI.
