Guest guest
Dear Ellen, When I read your post it moved me in a strange way. It shows amazing strength of character that you would persist in trying to find a group to work with after all the hurtful situations you have endured. I am sorry that you've been put through so much pain to realize who you are. I have only known one transgendered woman, her name was LeighAnn and I was totally taken with her. I spoke to her for hours and found out after she left the party that she was transgendered. It made me laugh a little because I am really good at summing people up when I first meet them. I never would have guessed. After meeting her, I understand that never could LeighAnn have been male. It just wouldn't have worked. She was meant to be female as much as I am. In my opinion, I don't believe you owe anyone an explanation of your history before a public ritual. We are who we are and we come to circle as people who have detailed histories that are not written on our foreheads for everyone to read. Your story is your story, you choose when to share it.
