I just joined this group, so I'd like to say hello. My "real" name is

Georgiana, but I sometimes use the psuedonymn Wild Rose, which I use in Haiku

groups.

I feel that ultimately the Divine Source is formless and genderless, that is too

abstract a concept for me to relate to on a daily basis. And for me, the Divine

is Mother rather than Father. Yet I don't feel any particular devotion to any

one goddess-form.

I have read about Eastern religions, so I am familiar with Hindu practices. I

was a member of Self-Realization Fellowship, and while I got a lot from it (like

Yogananda's devotion to the Divine Mother), it was too guru-centered for me. I

can't be as devoted to any teacher as seems to be required. Yet I always speak

well of them and of Paramahansa Yogananda.

I relate to the Mother most strongly when I am in a state of what I call Divine

Innocence. Then I am the dearly-loved Divine Child of the Divine Mother. I'm

not into a lot of ritualism or complex philosophy. Nor do I have any political

or femminist axe to grind. I just want to play in this garden (one of many)

that Mother gave us. 'Tis a gift to be simple -- and free.

I call myself a "New Age Pagan" to show that both have influenced me, but

neither one is totally dominant. I'm too much a Pagan to be completely a New

Ager, and too much a New Ager to be completlely Pagan. Also, I can't think of

any other term.

Love and Blessings,

Wild Rose
