So I say, you just lose time by speaking about gender. Shaivas say it's best first is to get Ishvara [shiva], and after forming a good friendship between you and HIM, meet Ardhanarishvara [combined form of Shiva and Shakti]. All other gozigozi about interpretation of scripture on gender is just a waste of time. It won't perform any spirituality. Namasté - radharani. Just before I had my Kundalini awakening in 1994, I would pass a bookstore down the street, and in the window was this book with a beautiful picture of(I later learned) Shiva Ardhanarishvara on the cover..and I could NOT shake the conviction that it was "watching" me every time I walked past! Then the day arrived... I was, admittedly, under the influence of cannabis (Shiva/Kali's sacred herb!)for the first time in years!-and right out of nowhere, Kundalini awakened with a ROAR!!! It wasn't until a few months later that I discovered the "Aghora" books and REALLY started to make serious progress, and it was only THEN that I realized that the book with the picture of Shiva Ardhanarishvara on it was part of that series!!! At this time the body get lot of heat. Usualy it occurs in spring.
