What a great "affect image", Ellen ... I should like to send you a picture to

your personal box, if I may... I think it will interest you.

I must however, say that Yantra is not necessarily as complex as you may have

been told! If a woman uses a yantra for that ritual, instead of an image, she

will get excellent results. At least I did, anyway...I used the Kali Yantra, and

you can ask my friends whether or not I got results, because other people's

spontaneous testimony is the best proof that any Goddess magick you are doing is

working!

I am always shopping for eclectic accessories for

women's spirituality... The Yantras are a sure hit.

Gorgeous, filled with meaning, and useful as

spellworking tools. ... But the Yantras come out of a elitist

tradition that demands years of study, and is thus inaccessible for

most people.

with no real understanding? With the above statement you have put

your finger on the crux of a much larger problem. The all pervasive

consumerist shopping mentality when it comes to spirituality and

sadhana.

It may intersest you to know that not all Yantras are used for

complex puja along the lines of Sriyantra/Navavarana Puja. Many

Yantras are designed to be used along the lines of talismans from

the "creepy grimoires".
