Time to get back to the serious business of the Group, eh?

 

Thanks to all who put in their votes of support for the group. All of

you. It is heartwarming and deeply encouraging.

 

For what it's worth, I don't consider being a moderator as

inconsistent with being an "ordinary member." In fact, I consider it

more of a janitorial, routine-maintenance kind of position. We

straighten the pictures, change the lightbulbs, keep the paint fresh,

mop up various messes, and keep an eye open for suspicious characters

lurking in the lobby.

 

Maybe we're like party hosts too, in the sense that we try to make

people comfortable, offer them something nutritional to snack on

while they're here, and try to keep the conversation going during

lulls.

 

Anyway, I'm still a moderator ... and Nora has the keys whenever she

feels like opening the janitor's closet again. We'll keep a fresh mop

and bucket on reserve. ;-)
