Guest guest
http://www.sanatansociety.org/yoga_and_meditation/nadis_kundalini_yoga.htm here's website that talks about the Nadis ( I guess it was OmPrem who posted about the different Nadis and imbalances causing different kinds of troubles ). I just woke up and honestly I'm too exhausted from a busy day yesterday to really absorb this all right now. I'm going to take a closer look at it later but it looks like a site with a lot of information so I'm passing it along to you all as well, for those of you who like me, are clueless. :-) Peace, Cathie
Guest guest
" I'm passing it along to all of you as well, for those of you who like me are clueless." Everyone in this club is clueless because we do not know what we do not know. Here are a few quotes on pretensions to knowledge: "Passion and prejudice govern the world, only under the name of reason." --John Wesley "It is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them." --Beaumarchais "The difficult part in an argument is not to defend one's opinion , but rather to know it." --Andre Maurois "The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance-it is the illusion of knowledge." --Daniel Boorstin And my personal favourite: "Something unpleasant is coming when men are anxious to tell the truth." --Benajamin Disraeli Omprem .., SophiasHeaven@a... wrote: > http://www.sanatansociety.org/yoga_and_meditation/nadis_kund alini_yoga.htm > > here's website that talks about the Nadis ( I guess it was OmPrem who posted > about the different Nadis and imbalances causing different kinds of troubles > ). > > I just woke up and honestly I'm too exhausted from a busy day yesterday to > really absorb this all right now. Guest guest
Humble you may be, but "clueless" you are not... I meet people like you all the time, who know, but don't know that they know, because they are unfamiliar with the jargon. Don't worry, you are doing just FINE! Thanks Lilith, for your kind words. You're Wisdom is apparent to me as well. I wonder also, if it is said if one claims to have attained, then that person has not attained, how it is the gurus can claim to be gurus -- I mean, they take on students, which means they are setting themselves up as ones who have attained, so that means, according to this line of reasoning, that they have not. If this were true, that one who has attained may not say so, the only ones who have attained would be the isolated ones, sitting all alone on the top of a mountain, taking neither students, nor putting their words in books for all to see because they know they have attained and all will want to read their words. So, once again, as has happened time and time again here, contradiction, the cloud of unknowing, the no-mind, the ineffibility of Brahman. :-) Blessings and Hugs, Cathie

The scriptures say "Only one who has known the Absolute may speak about the Absolute" ################################################# > If this were true, that one who has attained > may not say so, the only > ones who have attained would be the isolated ones, > sitting all alone on the > top of a mountain, taking neither students, nor > putting their words in books for > all to see because they know they have attained and > all will want to read > their words. ##################################################### Well, no, there is no hard-and-fast rule for everyone about whether or not you may speak of it, except maybe the injunction not to bother telling anything to anyone obviously not ready to hear! And if one has acquired the power of siddhi (magickal powers; as this is a side effect of attainment) you will be pestered by EVERYONE and their brother to do favours for them! Some people never say a word about it, for that reason. Many people never knew that Vimalananda was even religious, never mind that he had attained!Fortunately for me, Robert Svoboda was destined to find out! This is less of a problem in the West, sincehardly anyone believes in anything like that here anyway! ############################################### > So, once again, as has happened time and time > again here, > contradiction, the cloud of unknowing, the no-mind, > the ineffibility of Brahman. :-) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Actually the greater knowledge is simple and sublime, and all paradoxes are resolved. The lesser knowledge can be gleaned, but it takes someone who can sift through all the writings on the subject and pick out the grains of truth. It is like a treasure hunt! But it takes dedication. There is no time off for ordinary existence, really. Just like Jesus said, "He who does not hate his parents and family etc.,cannot be my disciple!". A disciple of the Knowledge has to give up all the things of the mundane world to attain beyond it. This is what is meant by non-attachment.
