Her skin is of a golden hue, and She possesses 10 hands and three eyes.Eight of Her hands display weapons while the remaining two are in themudras ( gestures) of boon giving and stopping harm, respectively. The terms "Chandra" and "Ghanta" indicate supreme bliss and knowledge, showering peace and serenity, like a cook breeze on a moonlit night. Durga Devi is frequently worshipped in this form in Kanchipuram ( Karanataka ) India!" She rides a Tiger : Overcoming/taming of the ego. Three eyes : The third eyes also known as the eyes of transcendent knowledge Lotus : symbolizes purity, perfection and divine. The spirit of a man who is pure is spotless like the lotus, grows in the muddy water, but rises above it . Chandraghanta literally means the bell of the moon. The moon is always associated with beauty, enchantment and ecstasy. There is only one moon but the reflection of the moon is being transmitted to all the different oceans. The Moon too brings light during the night. Chandraghanta is the power of light, that shine bright in our time of darkness. In the process of our journey, we often face difficult times. It is during these difficult times that we need the power of Chandraghanta to help us pull through. Chandraghanta shines : internally and externally like the beauty of the moon, and this beauty creates a ripple bringing joy to whomever that sees and feel HER. Her spirit is as pure and as spotless as the lotus flower.
