Guest guest
Dear Friends: Namaskar! As you may know the nine-day festive season of Devi Navaratri begins this year on Thursday October 14 and will continue through Friday, October 22. On this sacred festival of Navaratri, Guruji and Amma from Devipuram, India, convey Devi's blessings and sincere wishes to all. On this blessed occasion, we are pleased to announce the following updates: (1) We are thankful to all of you for the overwhelming response to Sri Nandakumar Nayar's earlier audio of Guru Stotram. Impelled by the encouragement and requests from many of you for "more", we are delighted to release a brand-new melodious audio of the Mahalakshmi Ashtakam in Nandakumar's voice. This audio can be downloaded at: http://www.vi1.org/mantras/mlstotra/mla.shtml. On this page you will also be able to download a pdf document of the text (in Sanskrit with explanations in English) for the Mahalakshmi Ashtakam. In addition, on this page you will also find a description of Guruji's meditative vision of Sri Mahalakshmi. We thank Nandakumar for his generousity in volunteering his time and talent for the Devipuram/Vi projects. (2) An exclusive Devipuram Screen Saver which can be downloaded at: http://www.vi1.org/screensaver.shtml. Please follow the instructions on this page for downloading and installing the screen saver. We are grateful to Sachin, a graphics artist based in Bangalore, for developing this beautiful screen saver. We are also thankful to Don McKenna and Sriganesh Madhvanath for providing the pictures embedded in this screen saver.
