Only discussion and the sharing of information. If somebody has learning and they share it, that is very appreciated by those who want to hear it, and those who do not want to hear it are also not dependent on it. Nobody is keeping ME in a subordinate or overdpendent position, just because I ask a few questions and somebody is gracious enough to answer. If somebody has information and shares it, that does not make them a know it all, just gracious. It takes time to type in thoughtful replies. Your replies are irritating and offensive, often. You're making personal attacks, and more often than not, you do not provide any useful information. I am deleting all your posts, and the only reason I opened this one was because it had a different subject line. HOwever, you've polluted any possible good subject matter you might have shared with your systematic derision of another person who is being humble in sharing what he knows. I see humility, not arrogance, and a willingness to be of service, in somebody graciously sharing information in response to questions. It takes time and thoughfulness to respond with detail and clarity. It's an act of service, when somebody has knowledge in areas they have spent much time thought and practice in studying. Please don't reply to me, as I will be deleting your posts as they are a waste of my time. If others want to bother with you, that's their business. Guest guest
Swami Janakananda's comments agree with everything that I have been saying. We have a Divine core and only mistaken emphasis keeps us from realizing this. Emphasis on the body and a belief that we exist only in time and space leads to misplaced desire. Sadhana is undertaken to roll back the layers of misconception that we operate under and so to eventually reveal our Divine nature to us. You seem to be mistaking the human body for the human being. Janakananda speaks of the core of the human being. He does not refer to the human body. Moreover, you seem to be falling into the same trap that Janakananda warns about. You focus on suffering and unhappiness. You want to remedy that. You wonder why others don't also want to remedy it. Perhaps you should focus on the Divinity of people. Then you would have a different viewpoint on the so-called suffering of others. And you wouldn't be so quick to judge other paths Omprem , Lars Hedström <lars@2...> wrote: > > omprem wrote: > > > > > Lars: > > > Why not? Guest guest
Thanks for commenting on my personality! It is useful to listen to others' view of yourself, as they often show unconscious aspects of your personality.
