Notes: 1. This thirumanthiram is the chapter regarding the samAdhi in aShTanga yOga. thirumUlar explains the build up to come to the peak of ashtanga yoga - the samAdhi. All these chapters give great phases the yOga practitioner passes through to come to this great state. At this stage he says this samAdhi is the one achieved by the selfless devotees in the way of pure love to God shiva. 2.
