Guest guest
Hi Nora, They sure have had a lot of this Goddess you describe in Florida lately, with so many hurricanes. Btw, I really like the Goddes Skanda Mata which you introduced the other day, and have been thinking about Her. Also, I think this Kaalratri has been maybe talking to me this past six months, cuz I was trying to go out and get a job, and again, every time I try this, I get a blood clot and have to forget about working. Then what happens? Then I realized I get so worried about money I'm out looking for a job, and in the process I've been setting aside things that are really important to me, and that involve my spiritual growth and my family, and as I"m stuck at home "rehabilitating" from a clot, I start to get back into those things, and then I get better again. So I definitely believe in this kind of Goddess, who takes the mind higher by wreaking havoc with the illusions we may cling to that keep us from the really important things. Now, I didn't get a job, as I thought I must do in a time of panic, and our finances are fine. In fact, if I had gotten one, who would be "minding the store"? Everybody else here is so busy, they need me around to be in meditation and focused so they can be busy with their days, and I am content in my home, meditating out in the rising sun, being sure everyone eats healthy. I enjoy it -- having time to learn something on the internet and raed books. I GIVE UP it is my karma and I have to stop fighting it -- my karma to have time to deal with these things that I love -- and as soon as I begin to forget what's important, a big GODDESS like this you describe this Kaalratri, comes stomping in and puts Her foot down NO She says -- stay on the path to enlightenment -- take yourself higher. (I've only tried to divert from my path very few times in the past 7 years and EACH time She does this to me. Each time I can't believe it. Each time I learn something, about how I cannot forsake the path to enlightenment. She means business. And from what you say, it must have been Her. Because when I get busy with things that make my soul sing, with spiritual study and such, She is happy and leaves me alone.) Guest guest
Now I reaaaaaaaally like this Devi. I mean look at HER and look at all the other navdurga. SHE sticks out like a soar thumb. Why is she so angry or mad about? It is like watching a movie. In the beginning we were being shown such beautiful pictures and we began to create this wonderful thoughts, then suddenly BANG!!!! without warning we were being thrust with image of death and destruction. It simply just throw ones mind in disarray. I think more of like a shock treatment and thereafter one began to question WHY? IS that what Kalarathri is all about? To shake us up? To put our mind in confusion? As her name suggest "night of time". All life is unfolded by time. One does not know what time will bring forth. If we look at the whole reality of it, just when we thought that our life is so good. So comfortable and peaceful, suddenly all these are being taken away from us. Death, earthquake, flood etc. SHE really hit us hard. SHE has shown us the reality of life, for nothing is permanent in this world. Permanency is an illusion. "This throwing mind into disarray or shocking you to reality is what will take the mind higher" as I am being told once. Perhaps this is what Kaalratri is meant to be : The power that will take our mind higher.

I do worship Kali, but I did not know she was good for blood related troubles, so interesting indeed. I have had this trouble since I was 28, and it all began I took the birth control pill while having a genetic low protein S, a condition they warn about in the tiny print on the drug pamphlet, but do not test for in women -- talk about using women as guinea pigs. Women DIE of blood clots and do doctors and medical establishment consider it worthwhile to test for a serious disorder before administering a drug that could really screw them up for life ? No. Administer away. Theyu are more concerned with preventing unwanted birth. My left leg filled entirely with clot more than once, leaving poor circulation in the leg and also in that leg now the poor circulation is a trigger to the clotting mechanism I have inherited genetically from birth. I had been healing myself, actually, and had cleared out veins the doctors said would never clear and they cleared, much to my doctor's surprise, and recently, I got off track on my personal karma and started pursuing some goals out of my head and feeling of "i aught to" instead of "i would LOVE to do that" and walla, the leg clotted again. THis time not so bad as before and it's healing nnicely, but still, I feel as much information and tools I can have in this area as possible will help. I'd love to see your Kali icon, if you are willing to share it, send it along. Blessings, Cathie
Guest guest
I have always advised people who are having blood-related troubles to worship Kali...She is the Goddess of Blood, after all! I used to send women who complained of menstrual problems while they were visiting me to go into my Kali Temple/ body-piercing studio and contemplate my icon for a few minutes. Without exception, they immediately reported relief of their symptoms! One time I had a client who started bleeding uncontrollably...nothing helped until I prayed to Kali...and it stopped INSTANTLY. Worth a try! I can send you a j-peg of my icon, if you want. Permanency is an illusion. But then change must be permanent? Regards Lars
