Guest guest
Dear Lili, You declared ; I see the signs everywhere. This is why I encourage people to get right with God through devotion, not through long drawn-out circuitous methods. Pleaes allow me to share : The Devi Khadgala Mala , Sri Vidya and other worship are not long drawn -out circuitous methods they are the very thing that create the devotion you claim . The western concept of devotion is about only about the FEELING love and it stops there but in Hinduism bhakthi yoga has it's own scripture like Narada Bakthi Sutra ,Sandilya sutra and so forth to show the methodological step to achive them . In BG ,Krishna said offer anything with devotion and He would accept it . But he did not say anything is devotion. Even devotion has various steps to achieve them ( please read text like Srimad Bhavagavatham)Then again there is para and apara bhakthi as well .... The popular notion today is to say I have devotion and love for God and that is it . But only bonafide master ( guru) from proper parampara ( lineage of spiritual teaching) can guide the practioner in the ocean of multituides of spritual practices.Just look at Ramakrishna though he talked about Supreme devotion how many orthodox guru he learnt from ,yet somebody just read the english version of the Gospel ( which reduce and sensored the actual bengal copy written by M) an says the feeling I love God suffice ............ This what I call book-knowledge ..... Please dont assume merely saying I have devotion is devotion. In western culture I love you is the word the child saying before kissing the mom on the cheek while going to school . In eastern culture the word I love you takes a lot of courage and commitment before it is said and that is also not done frequently because the word has such a high connotation. Everything has an intricate approach in any religious system not only hinduism and only devoted would spent time practicing circuitous methods and the more we practice the more our yearning for Her develop. So we actually dont find it circuitous but on contrary it is adventurous !!! It is not long ardous activity for the lover who waits for his lover to use the road he is waiting, it actually creates more yearning in his heart.Sri Vidya upasana and others methodlogical approach are such and people who have no yearning for God would not even touch them..........fror them it is mystical and symbolical only ! Kudos!!!, to SS moderators for sharing Devi Khadgamala and Swami Amritaji for sharing what we are learning ,truly the years to come we would find hard to find such a commitment share this paractices to new members as shown here ........... And as for those who are thinking bhakthi is just devotion to God as I understand it ,well Hindusim offers what experience bhaktas like Narada and Sandilya says about this. Just like what they say repharaphrased here -if you dont like then leave but try first before you judge ................ Jai Maa!! Maybe when we were all animals and plants it would take 432,000 years. Now, I am personally convinced we can expect the Ghora (Fearsome) Yuga in about 10 years. The tenth(?) Avatar of Vishnu, Nishkalanka or Kalki, the White Horse Avatar, is in the offing. I see the signs everywhere. This is why I encourage people to get right with God through devotion, not through long drawn-out circuitous methods. God is never so accessible at any other time as He/She is during Kali Yuga.
