Guest guest
Hi, I think there is a typo in that article. Perhaps it should be 1/2 inches above anus instead of 12... as it explains later it's right between anus and reproductory organs. Kanda the origin of all the subtle nadis. Kanda This is situated between the anus and the root of the reproductory organ. It is like the shape of an egg and is covered with membranes. This is just above the Muladhara Chakra. All the Nadis of the body spring from this Kanda. It is in the junction where Sushumna is connected with Muladhara Chakra. The four petals of the Muladhara Chakra are on the sides of this Kanda and the junction is called Granthi-Sthana, where the influence of Maya is very strong. In some Upanishads you will find that Kanda is 9 digits above the genitals. All the Nadis spring from the Kanda. It is in the junction where the Sushumna Nadi is connected with the Muladhara Chakra. Some say, that this Kanda is 12 (may be it is intended to write 1/2 inches) inches above the anus. Out of the innumerable Nadis 14 are said to be important. They are:— 1. Sushumna 2. Ida 3. Pingala 4. Gandhari 5. Hastajihva 6. Kuhu 7. Saraswati 8. Pusha 9. Sankhini 10. Payasvini 11. Varuni 12. Alambusha 13. Vishvodhara 14. Yasasvini ****************************************************************************** just one point i caught :-) have fun.
