Guest guest
93 Hope the following will clarify the matter once and for all: Sahasranamas of 10 Mahavidyas are present in Mantra-maharnava (Shakti- khanda) and Shakta-pramoda. These two are detailed sourses of ritual worship of 10 Mahavidyas. Then, certain tantric sahasranamas of Devi are present in Brahmanda- purana (there we find most common sahasranama of Lalita), Rudra- yamala, Mahakala-samhita, Mahabhagavata-purana (if i remember correctly) and several Tantras (Kalikula-sarvasva has Shmashanakali- sahasranama as i mentioned; i think Brihannila-tantra has some Kali- sahasranama also; etc). 100 Names of Kali is found in Mundamala-tantra (as i remember; but for sure it is present in the two sourses mentioned above as well as in Shyama-rahasya), Mahanirvana-tantra, Brihannila-tantra, Kalivilasa- tantra and some others. For Kali there are minimum 4 different sahasranamas and 4 different shatanamas. For Lalita there are minimum 2 sahasranamas, one trishati and minimum 3 shatanamas (one in Shritattva-chintamani, one in Shakta- pramoda/Mantra-maharnava and one commonly known in south India in namavali form - don`t know exact scriptural sourse). For Tara at least 2 of both are there. Sanskrit versions of sahasranamas can be found in numerous books about shaktopasana printed in India. There are so many of them. I may recommend "Kali[ka]stava-manjari" which has indeed wide variety of hymns related to Kali including rare ones. In english i have seen only Lalita-sahasranama (the one from Brahmanda-purana) and Shmashanakali-sahasranama - last one is in "Kali Puja" of Satyananda Swami. Beware of the translation, it is VERY BAD.
