Guest guest
NEW DELHI, India (Oct. 28, 2004): The planets favour US Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry and would push him to victory over President George W Bush in the November 2 polls, say Indian astrologers. "Kerry is likely to beat Bush in the final verdict," predicts renowned astrologer Ajai Bhambi, also author of the bestseller "Be Your Own Astrologer". "Bush's horoscope shows Saturn, Venus and Mercury. They are all placed in Cancer Lagna and all of them are seen uncomfortable, which is why his election and his tenure have been controversial. "These three planets are unfavourable to Cancer Lagna and create problems from time to time." Kerry on the other hand, said Bhambi, was born in Scorpio ascendant, with the Sun placed in it. His horoscope also has Mars and Moon occupying the Taurus and all the planets are involved in mutual aspects among themselves. "The whole configuration definitely makes for a charismatic leader," the astrologer told IANS. The candidates in the US presidential race are engaged in a last ditch effort to win over voters in some of the key swing states, with the biggest prize for grabs being Florida. "In Bush's horoscope, Saturn's major period is in operation, but will conclude on May 17, 2006. Saturn is not a friendly planet in his horoscope and its 'mahadasha' (key period) is about to conclude. This does not do much good," added Bhambi. "In the annual chart, the third lord Sun in the ascendant has eclipsed Saturn, the lord of health and fortune, which will prove unfortunate and give Bush a clear defeat." Added astrologer Lachhman Das Madan: "I reveal the cosmic writ that George Bush cannot become the president of the US again." Madan, known as Jyotish Samrat (king of astrologers) whose predictions - some 40,000 at the last count -- are now case studies for astrology students across the world. "For Kerry, the sub-period of Mercury in the main period of Mercury is in operation. Mercury and Mars owning the fifth and third house have exchanged houses. Success in competition is certain," Madan, whose latest prediction that neither Atal Bihari Vajpayee nor Sonia Gandhi will become prime minister of India won him many accolades, told IANS. After Gandhi's Congress party won the parliamentary polls defeating the coalition government of Vajpayee, Gandhi as Congress president renounced the prime minister's post and put Manmohan Singh at the helm of government. S.R. Krishnamurti, who calls himself a mystic, said not only would Kerry win but his tenure as president would bring peace to the world. "The configuration of planets, which were not positioned coherently for Senator John Kerry for the past five-six months, is now falling in place for him. The Sun is supporting Kerry and the Moon is also in Kerry's favour. He has definitely a very great chance of becoming president. "The after effects of Kerry's win would be of immense good to the US. It will bring peace not only to the country but also to the rest of the world. The Middle East, Afghanistan and South Asia will see a terrorism-free, congenial atmosphere." A Ph.D. in philosophy, Krishnamurti has in the past successfully predicted the India-Pakistan war in 1971, the Gulf War and the election of three US presidents - Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. "With the change in the political set-up of the US, India-US relations will improve significantly. An economically strong, terrorism-free Washington will help build an economically strong, terrorism-free New Delhi," said Krishnamurti, the winner of the Indira Priyadarshini Award in 1992. Guest guest
I am a traditional Republican (keyword: traditional, not to be confused with the mainstream theocrats) , but I am not really impressed with Bush. Behind him are a bunch of fanatics that I do not feel should be controlling the party, or any specific group for that matter. It is interesting though that the whole world is now watching this election, as if its outcome will severely affect us as a whole. I am not impressed with Kerry either, but it is a matter of who will less likely get us into another unnecessary war in the next four years. Just my opinion on the matters, hehe.
