I really love this list. It's funny, sometimes being immersed in my Hindu

studies and tabla playing, learning Bengali etc. I can feel quite alone. None of

my friends share the same kind of passion and I know a few Indians, but really

don't spend time with them regularly.

When I hear others speak of Kali from their own hearts it fills me with joy

because these feelings are also my own.

>From My understanding of that Image of Kali standing or dances on

Shiva prone body comes from a story as I have read:Once upon a time

Kali began to dance out of control on the battlefield after becoming

drunk on the blood of her victims. To stop her rampage, Shiva lay

down on the battlefield like a corpse so that when she dance on her

body she would stop, recognising him as her husband. It is thus as a

corpse, as one of her victims, that Siva calms Kali and elicits her

grace.

I am just playing with this thoughts : Kali as I see her represents

the control element that have gone uncontrol. It is this

uncontrolled elements that will cause our own destruction if it is

not control.

Lets bring it around us : the earth quake, the flood etc.. all these

are natural elements that we cannot control. And when they struck,

they struck hard and show no mercy to anyone. This is what fears us

most. Those bleedings happening within our body that cannot be

control which will eventually lead to death. This to me is what Kali

represent.

Corpse: I see as detachment. Detachment from the materialistic and

worldly pleasure. When you die, you die alone and you leave

everything behind. This is what Kali wants from us. Leave everything

behind and come to me as you are when you are dead.

But Only when you are deeply in love with the divine, you are

willing to leave everything you have behind.

Nora,

this is uncanny! we both wrote almost exactly the same thing at the

same time about the Kali-devi-dancing-on-Lord-Shiva post (well my

message came late because some had to approve it etc).

Looks like Kali ma triggered us both to write similar things!

I am stunned and ecstatic about this synchronicity!

Jai Ma!

Well that some one is me. I am on duty now in Shakti Sadhana, till

not sure what time. I am just thinking : How Nora Junior and Senior

going to look scary , for its the Halloween party in school

tonight. Then the Image of kali comes. hahhaaa.

"Looks like Kali ma triggered us both to write similar things!"

Looks like she does. SHE works in amazingly wonderful ways, didnt

SHE.

"I am stunned and ecstatic about this synchronicity!"

Somebody told me once, never get over board with your emotions. That

too will creat an uncontrol situation. hahahaaa

Well yes it looks like we both shared the same idea about Kali. From

the look at our group for the past few days, looks like Kali IS

indeed into one of her dances. Such powerful energy !!!!!!!!
