Guest guest
Who is insulting Kali Ma? I obtained this information partly by meditation on Her, Herself. Kali is a Goddess representing the portions of existence that are there whether we like them or not; death, corruption, disease, loss, suffering, and other multifarious unpleasantness...life in the raw! The very things that "civilized" people find distasteful or disturbing, but are an undeniable part of Life, and thus must be confronted, accepted, and even worshiped before one can truly be said to be free of illusion! You have seen for yourself the reaction my bringing up the topic of Aghora Tantra has engendered! There is NO better way to determine the depths of delusion in anyone than by dropping such distasteful realities in front of people and seeing how they react! This is why many sadhus live in cremation grounds; there is no turning away from the hard facts of existence in the place where everybody ends up, sooner or later, and thus they voluntarily live with cold hard reality as their portion every day. The reason India tends to be such a shock to Western minds is because life is lived in the raw there much more than it is here..people suffer and die right in front of you! An Indian friend once said to me that when she came here she didn't know who the poor people were, because they looked pretty much the same as the well-to-do! They don't have welfare and housing in India like they have here...to us here in the West, "hardship" is doing without a TV! Delusion, indeed! In India, there is no mistaking who is poor! Thus Kali represents naked, implacable Reality, standing atop Infinite Possibility.
