Guest guest
Pranam. A quote so true and to the point...that touched me and hopefully you too..Thank you;-)) With Love Shankaree When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food, and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself. - Tecumseh, Shawnee Chief Let my every word be a prayer to Thee, Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Thee, Every step I take a circumambulation of Thy image, Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Thee, Every time I lay down a prostration at Thy feet; Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do, Let it all be a form of worshiping Thee." >From Verse 27 of Shri Aadi Shankara's Saundaryalahari Does your mail provider give you a FREE online calendar? does. Guest guest
There is a very similar quote in the Shiva Manasa Puja,or "Mental Worship of Shiva" available in a magnificently rendered musical version on CD as "Sacred Chants of Shiva" by the group run by Shri Ravi Shankar (no relation to the musician, as far as I know!)This is Robert Svoboda's translation, given in the closing paragraphs, of "Aghora III: The Path of Karma: You are the Soul, O Lord of the Mountain-Born One, The body's pranas are your attendants, the body is Your home. The sequence of enjoyment of sensory objects is Your worship, and sleep, Your samadhi. All my movement is Your circumambulation, All praise Your hymns. Whatever karmas I may perform, O Happiness-Bestower, I offer them all, without exception, to You, as my worship. --- shankaree ramatas <shankaree wrote: > Pranam.
