[2] JaganmAtA

Divine Mother, the creatrix of all that has come into being.

Mother Goddess is Divine Power, the primal cause of this trichotomic

phenomenon which gets resolved by Her grace alone. From that

omniscient, omnipotent course proceed sustenance and dissolution of

this world.

Pranam to Nora Ji!

This is spiritual gem emanating from Lord Shiva, prompted by Nandi.

"Oh Lord Shiva, whose eulogy you are narrating when you are complete, all

pervading....".

"Adi - Shakti ...." Lord Shiva begins the stutih.

Om Namah Shivaye!

Virendra.

[3] MahAlaksmi : The Beauty in bloom, transcending duality.

MahAlaksmi is the great source of the best in life. She is the

Dispeller of Evil. In this aspect SHE is the consort of MahAvisnu (

and is one with Him) SHE signifies the Divine Prosperity, always

established in the heart of a devotee.

MahAlaksmi represents one of the four great aspects of Mother. In her

captivating grace SHE is sweet and wonderful embodying HER secret

beauty and harmony.

Okay... please repeat the four great aspects of the Divine Mother?

(Are these the Shaktis -- Jnana, Kriya, Iccha, and Shanta?)

The Four Great aspect of the Divine Mother as interpreted by the

author :

1 MAheSvari : As supreme Reality transcending the mind and will. She

is Durga, the universal Mother.

2.Mahakali : as Overwhelming intensity. Force and strength are Her

peculiar powers.

3. MahAlaksmi : as the Mother of power and perfection

4. MahAsaraswati : As the Mother of power and perfection.

*****************************************************************

These are from my own personal notes, but I like to invite our

experience sadhak and sadhika to make further comment on this ….

When the Mahadevi wishes to create the cosmos, she does so without

effort or desire. Through the creative forces, she became two

portion. One , she remain Nirguna Sakti, but she also became three

saktis that are involved in the creation : Sattvic Saktis, Rajasic

Saktis, and Tamasic Saktis. Her Sattvic aspect becomes Mahalakshmi,

the Rajasic aspects becomes MahaSarawati and her Tamasic aspects

becomes MahaKali.

>From The Srimad Devi BhAgavatam, First Book, Chapter II

"… I call to my mind, the Mother of all the worlds who creates

this

universe, when nature is both real ( taking gross, practical point

of view) and unreal ( taking a real point of view ), preserve and

destroys by Her Rajasik, Sattvik and Tamasik qualities and in the

end resolves all these into Herself and plays it alone in the period

of Dissolution"

"SivA is beyond PrAkritic attributes, eternal and ever

omnipresent;

SHE is without any change, immutable, unattainable but by Yoga; SHE

is the refuge of the universe and HER nature is Turiya Chaitanya.

MahALakshmi is Her Sattviki Sakti, Sarasvati is Her Rajasik Sakti

and MahA Kali is Her Tamasik Sakti; these are all of feminine

forms"

This is also Parashakti, the Supreme Power.

This is also Iccha Shakti, the Power to Will/ Desire.

Mahalakshmi is also Kriya Shakti, the Power to Act.

> 4. MahAsaraswati : As the Mother of power and perfection.

Mahasaraswati is also Jnana Shakti, the Power to Know.

But your last two defibitions are identical. There's no difference

between Lakshmi and Saraswati? Except that oe is Sattvic and one is

Rajasic?

According to the Srimad Devi Bhagavatam, First Book, Chapter II. But in

the Devi Mahatmyam, isn't it implied that Lakshmi is Rajasic (and red as

a bimba fruit), and Saraswati is Sattvic (and white as the moon)?

And Kali devotees tend to insist that it's Kali who is the TRUE Sattvic

Shakti. The Gunas seem very fluid to me, and each of the Mothers can

play every role.

The above is not my definations. I did mention : The Four Great

aspect of the Divine Mother as interpreted by the author. I am

making an extractions from the Bhavani Nama Sahasra stutih : english

translation and commentary by Jankinath Kaul "Kamal"

"According to the Srimad Devi Bhagavatam, First Book, Chapter II.

Yes! it also depends on who interprete what right?

Len reply : And Kali devotees tend to insist that it's Kali who is

the TRUE Sattvic Shakti. The Gunas seem very fluid to me, and each

of the Mothers can play every role.

It is quite obvious right. Lalita Devotees will insist that lalita

is The Supreme and all the others are subordinate to HER.
