It is utter stupidity to continue to reproduce like rabbits; however stubborn religious leaders care not about people but only about that scripture do not support abortion. Of course not, `coz simply there were no abortions 2000 years ago LOL. Of course efforts are to put to educate women and men. So that they know how to use contraceptives and when it is safe to have sex without them without risk of pregnancy. It is better to prevent unwanted pregnancy than to abort. But it is much better to make abortion than so suffer the rest of life. BTW if we take hinduism, Garbha Upanishad states that soul enters embryo on rather later stage (same thing i heard from one traditional brahman and yogi). Thus at least abortion on early stages of pregnancy cannot be viewed as any sort of killing. Prohibition of abortions is a crime against women . A. Guest guest
*grins* I am just going by what I have read on Hinduism. Of course, books are not everything. Yes, i understand. My reply was not to argue with U or to say U are wrong. I wrote only `coz i really see that it`s needed to maintain abortions as legally allowed. And any kind of propaganda against that is a sin, IMHO (this is not about U but just in general). Abortion has to be among other human rights . Best regards, A. I just think that the pro-lifers here are attacking the wrong problem. If they REALLY want to reduce the amount of abortions, education, counseling methods, etc are necessary to do that - unfortunately, the majority of the pro-life people oppose the mentioned methods...which kind of befuddles me.
