Guest guest
93 Here are some facts: "Only in 1998 there had been more than 120 (!) attacs on christian churches and schools in India (while in all previous 50 years of India independance - only 50)". On 22 Jan 1999 in orissan village Manoharpur a christian missioneer and his two sons were burned alive by people from "Bajrang Dal" of "Vishva Hindu Parishad"... Guest guest
As the bumper sticker says, "Guns Don't Kill, Religions Do!" But that's even trite and confused. You see, there is no such thing as religion, nor is there any other mental construct except as conventionally apprehended. Any other mental phenomena can be transmuted with means, and ends in its time, proving that no mental phenomena has any real ground whatsoever. Perhaps the Christian Missionary was a child molester. There is no truth in the media, because even if the slightest fact is changed it makes the entire scenario different, like aiming a rocket at Mars but being an inch off, it's a small mistake at the outset, but later, there may be a million miles to fix. All I'm really getting at is who fucking cares if someone kills people. The only wisdom on this earth is one taken and held individually in ones own heart. All else is mere conventionality, which will dissolve at some sign of stress. There absolutely is only one essential reality of awareness itself. Where there is no awareness nothing else is. One who sees this fact sees only awareness everywhere, and change as being merely the skin. So even this article's headline about social Hinduism really means nothing. In fact, of all the events depicted in the article, not a shred of any reality remains except as some mental figment. - Arjuna Taradasa Friday, November 12, 2004 3:26 AM discovering truth - is social hinduism really non-violent? 93 Here are some facts: "Only in 1998 there had been more than 120 (!) attacs on christian churches and schools in India (while in all previous 50 years of India independance - only 50)". Guest guest
I figured a long time ago that all religions are going to have their misfits. Heck, I actually find a lot of the Wiccans in America worse than the fundamental Christians that they bash. I suppose it is just human nature.
