Seriously, I don't know of Tantric practices where you have sex with animals. But in the Vedic asvamedha, the horse sacrifice for investiture of a new Rajah, the Maharani was supposed to simulate coitus with the horse. Perhaps, if U in fact heard from somebody this kind of crap, reason might be the following: the sanskrit word "animal" (pashu) in Tantras refer to uninitiates or to those whose cosciousness is only little above animal level (that is pashu-bhAva). So "mating with animals" mean simply "mating with uninitiated". Which of course may take place, although it is not preferred. Or this question was a joke LOL? Normally in srividya upasana the practices sanctioned by a Guru personalised for a specifi deciple are what matters. There is no common practice for all. The practices are customiserd by Guru. The problem with the present situation is that people read all sort of texts and decide that all applies to all. this is far from the truth. The same Guru's students will have different practices. Please keep this in mind when u discuss. If you are dumb enough to follow that advice be aware of the criminal penalties that apply to your practice, which could include conspiracy charges and other gang-related felonies. If you are still determined but are unable to find one of these 'gurus' , or can't quite bring yourself to elevate those who engage these practices to 'guru' status, you can always proclaim yourself as a 'guru', then you would have the divine right to do what you want, much like a few of the people on this board who offer highly vocal support of these practices.
