Guest guest
Namaste, I am aware that there are a great number of vegetarians here. I am not sure who has heard of PETA and who has not, or who may even support them, but since there are a fair amount of vegetarians in this group, I want to inform everyone of what goes on with PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals). I noticed that a fair amount of the civilians that fund them do not know what goes on behind the doors. http://www.activistcash.com/organization_overview.cfm/oid/21 http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/08-04-200\ 3/0001994926&EDATE= All in consideration, I have respect for vegetarians due to their ability to keep away from meat and I respect people who support what they believe in, whether it be animal rights or whatnot. However, I do not believe in going to the extremes that PETA has been going. Yes, they are entitled to their opinion, but I do not see how killing humans in the name of "saving lives" makes things better. In my opinion, they are no better than the people who bomb abortion clinics in the name of "saving lives." I am not attacking anyone in this group, I just felt that this would help in finding which animal rights groups can be trusted and which ones cannot (which, of course, is up to the individual). It saddens me that there are groups out there that can be so radical - if this group was not so violent, I personally think they would be a good organization. Guest guest
Namaste anya, lets remember that there are extremists in every group! who do not speak or act out for the whole! infact there are extremist Hindus in the state of gujurati Burning Muslim women and children alive, lets not forget the muslim extremists that have basically dragged a beautiful religion thru the mud. we should also remember that the media does infact blow things out of proportion and tends to place the blame for what a few from a certain group have done on the whole! whether or not PETA supports theses acts still does not make the murdering of innocent animals right nor is takeing the life of anything or anyone. Aum Pashupatiya Namah Aum Shanti Ardan Mihiraan

Aum Pashupatiya Namah > >Aum Shanti >Ardan Mihiraan > > > I fully agree with you. I only posted the articles to notify people about the group - not accusing the vegetarian population as a whole of following the actions that the PETA organization does. *smiles* Again, I just know that there are some people out there who do give donations and do not know where their money goes to.
