Guest guest
***it is a conviction of mine that bearing one's suffering patiently and dispassionately is a powerful form of karmic balancing*** You only escape the wheel of samsara by not having ego-based, emotional reactions to the events of your life and you do that by having your consciousness firmly grounded in the Divine, however you choose to see that Divinity. Being grounded in and devoted to the Divine all the time enables you to move through life with an infinitely wide and profound perspective knowing that the events of your life are, as you point out, karmic results of former deeds. As such they are not worth stepping out of your connection with the Divine and becoming emotionally involved with them. It is one thing to be Self-realized. It is another to work off your accrued karma. The first step to working off accrued karma is to incur no new karma. Then you must face the karma that is coming to fruition in this lifetime with equinimity and serenity. And finally you must face the accumulated karma that is due to come to fruition in the future also with equinimity and serenity. When all karma has been exhausted you are free to assume your true identity as Parabrahman.
