Civility Again [Was Shakti and Skanda - to Jessica (and DB)]

Dear Jessica:

People who care passionately about their beliefs can sometimes

inadvertently and ill-advisedly insult the beliefs of others who do

not agree with them. I see that some here have approached you in this

manner (I can ask people over and over to "be nice" -- but they are

free to ignore me, and often do) -- but please understand: You need

not respond in kind, unless you want to.

However distorted and ill-disciplined and incorrect you may consider

the Kaula path to be (as one of those benighted souls myself, it is

hardly my place to offer a rebuttal), please do not judge it. Do not

take the view that "my view is right, and yours is wrong"; or

even "mine is better than yours." What is the point?

All rivers lead to the sea, eh? Let us each celebrate our path

without bringing down others' belief systems in the process. We can

all be proud of our paths and convinced of our wisdom without having

to try an make others feel like something the cat dragged in. You

too, Arjuna, hokay?

Dear All:

DB seems to have understood the Paraushurama kalpasootra aphorism

"sarwadardshjanaanindaa". Thou shalt not insult any path. Indeed he seems to be

a real kaula.
