Guest guest
I tried LSD for the first time on Christmas Day about 10 years ago, when I was in my late 30s. It was a very positive and profound experience and now, a few months afterward, I wished to repeat it on Maha Shiva Ratri. A friend had told me about some very special and rare microdot that was available, called "India Temple Ruby", and this sounded like just what was wanted! I asked him to hook me up with the person who was distributing it, and he did. I was really getting into the Shiva groove since my kundalini awakening the previous October (under the influence of cannabis!)and was meditating every night. I prayed for a clear sign that this was a good idea. The guy arranged to meet me on Sunday afternoon, and I was going to a friend's place to watch "Little Buddha" that evening. He called me from a friend's place nearby around 1, and told me he would be there in about 45 minutes. I had some stuff to wash by hand, so I put on my fave kirtan tape "Jai Shiva", which was about 45 minutes long. I was busily scrubbing away when there came a knock on the door. I shouted down for him to come in. I heard him coming up the stairs and I got up to dry my hands and went out to greet him. I was confronted with a young man with waist-length jata, looking just like a sadhu! I noticed he was listening to the music, but made no comment. We sat down, and introduced ourselves, and very quickly I learned that he had been to India several times and was in fact a devotee of Lord Shiva! I was delighted with this, taking it as a VERY positive sign that I was definitely doing the RIGHT THING! The clincher came when we were discussing music, and he showed me a record he had just bought (yes, a RECORD...he was a DJ) and the record cover featured a near life-size face of LORD SHIVA! I figured a guy who looked like Lord Shiva, who had been to India and visited places sacred to Lord Shiva, who was a devotee of Lord Shiva, and who just HAPPENED to be carrying around a large pic of Lord Shiva with him, was a definite indication that taking a "trip" on Maha Shiva Ratri, the supreme festival of Lord Shiva, by means of "India Temple Ruby" microdot was just what Lord Shiva thought I should do! And so it was...it was an astounding experience! The real test of whether or not these experiences are valid is that the insights attained are applicable in everyday existence, and that associated phenomena occur independently of the "trip". I was getting tangible phenomena almost daily...it was quite clear to me that I could not be "making it up" when I would say, be thinking about Ganesha and then moments later walk into a store I had only been in once before a year previously and meet the owner, who just "happened" to be a devotee of Ganesha and who then took me into his little temple and gave me a blessing! Guest guest
All of reality is mere coincidence, for what it's worth. I was on page 346 of my book which mentioned swans in a phrase. At the very same moment the tv show The Swan came on. It was the only passage in the book with swans in it. I haven't seen The Swan show since. - Lili Masamura Tuesday, November 23, 2004 6:12 PM Maha Shiva Ratri I tried LSD for the first time on Christmas Day about 10 years ago, when I was in my late 30s.
