Guest guest
Namaste, "Knowledge of the Power of the Moon's "Dark" Light is Ambika or Tara". Tara in Sanskrit of course means 'star' in the name's sidereal, luminary context. I have long entertained my doubts about Vedic interpretaions of Venus [shukra], but in turning to the Rg Veda read 'Speech was the wife of Brhaspati', whom Tara was abducted from by Soma. Well the goddess of speech is Vac, another name for Saraswati; and another name for Tara is Blue or Nila Saraswati. This appears to identify the Goddess Tara as the anonymous Puranic 'Tara' who gives birth to Buda, the planet Mercury, fathered by the moon-god, here Soma. But there is another Tara, a White Tara, name for the star-like planet Venus: Sita Tara, Sitara; and in Bangladesh, Shuktara. ................. "Soma is ruled by Yama, in the South". I find this interesting because Yama is a bovine deity, and I wonder if there is some mythological connection between the horns of the bull and the crescent horns of the moon? Guest guest
Namaste, bud is to perceive or to learn. budh is to wake or to be awake, to recover consciousness, to observe, to learn, or to understand. budha means awakening, intelligent or wise. budha is a wise or learned man. budha is a god. budha is a dog. budha is a son of Soma. budha is Mercury. The union of Guru and Soma brings Awakening. The union of Guru and Soma brings Wisdom. The union of Guru and Soma brings God. The union of Guru and Soma brings a Dog (vehicle of Bhairava). The union of Guru and Soma brings Budha (all the above, including Mercury). Budha is a son of Soma; and Tara is a son of Soma. Soma brings Wisdom, and Soma brings Salvation. Do you mean Taraka? > Soma brings Wisdom, and Soma brings Salvation. i think that Soma brings divine intoxication which is wisdom - the juice of the soma plant is analogous to the spiritual nectar which flows from the Sahasrara Chakra, at the moment of bliss, when Shiva and Shakti become One.
