Guest guest
geyacakra rathArUdha mantrini parisevitA : She is attended by Mantrini who rides, the chariot Geyacakra. Mantrini is another name for SyAmala Devi, the dusky coloured deity. Geyacakra : Geya, to be praised; cakra, wheel; ratha, the disk of the sun. The sun's chariot is praised in the scriptures. Those who ride the Geyacakra are Yogins devoted to SrividyA. They are called Mantrinis. Those who have reached SUryaloka, meditate on Devi to enable them to ascend to higher planet. Again : geyacakra : Geya: important; cakra: Sricakra; ratha: chariot; arUdha : contemplated upon. Tripurasundari whose chariot is that important cakra, namely Sricakra, is contemplated upon. The person that does so obtains the power of the mantra, ie becomes a mantrini. When he realizes, he obtains the power of using the mantra, which is described in TantrarAja and which has to be learnt from a guru. The Siva-Sutra [i.23] says: "By concentrating upon MahAhrada, the power of the mantra is obtained" Commentary : MahAhrada, the supreme divine energy [sakti]; Concentration [ anusamdhAna ]; realization of identity with Sakti; the power of the Mantra [mantravirya], the perception of the fullness of individuality; obtaining [anubhava] full of development of such perception." The above passage from Siva-Sutra is explained at length by the holy KsemarAja in his commentary wherein he states that the development of the vidyA-body is the secret of mantras.
