Guest guest
Namaste, I came across this book online and found it to be very interesting considering there are members of the mormon religion in my family and I live in Utah the mormon state. now I have always tried to keep an open mind when it comes to all religions, but i have always thought the mormons to be very Evil and Controlling as well as manipulative and a few other things. you can see it every where in the state of Utah and unfortunatley now the white house(karl roves) I deffinately suggest this book to anyone who is at all concerned about there futures and the future of the world, seriously im not one to judge or make trouble or to look down on others for there beliefs or even to believe conspiracy theories but this is a subject i have always been concerned about. http://www.mormonconspiracy.com/mormon.html you can check it out for yourselves. Guest guest
Sanathana Dharma will survive because it is sanathana. India lives in its villages as does the Dharma. There the other inflences are minimal. Guest guest
Namaste, Here is a copy of a post I just sent to HinduNet. So, all of my posts for some time now seem to boil down to a couple of important points. In the Sanatana Dharma, the Guru is fundamental; and the Naga holds the fundamental truths of Sanatana Dharma in trust for humanity. The Naga inhabits another world; a world that few western seekers have penetrated at all, let alone successfully. America is very fortunate to have the blessings of a tour by a Dasanami Sannyasin, my Guru-bhai and friend, Sri Ram Puriji, who has also just released an amazing book. Rampuri was born in Chicago and grew up in Beverly Hills. In 1969 he journeyed over land to India with twenty dollars in his pocket in a search for Truth. During his long discipleship in India, he received traditional teachings in Sanskrit, meta-language, mantra and sound, tantra, medicinal herbs, logic, ritual, and the "way of the yogi". In 1984, Rampuri established Hari Puri Ashram in the Himalayan foothill town of Hardwar in North India. Today, he is a member of the Council of Elders of Datta Akhara in Ujjain, Central India, and the envoy of its Pir. He travels widely throughout India and the world teaching, lecturing, and participating in religious functions. In reply to some of my recent comments Rampuri sent me this note: If people only knew the truth… I hate to say it, but even in the most banal matters, people are no longer capable of truth ~ just consider Iraq ~ the truth is all over the place, and even in the newspapers, but very few seem to get it. What hope for sublime truth, even if at times it is sort of obvious? It's a rough road, and getting bumpier; which reminds me ~ I am starting my American tour in a week. My book goes on sale on the 25th Jan. "A bold journey which explores the true intersections of Eastern and Western thought." —Deepak Chopra "Bound to challenge your view of reality and the spiritual life." —David Frawley, author of Yoga and Ayurveda "[An] exotic tale of enlightenment and self-realization." —Publishers Weekly BABA: Autobiography of a Blue-Eyed Yogi (Bell Tower, February 1, 2005), California native Rampuri's unprecedented account of his discipleship and adventures among holy men in India, reveals more about the yogi/ shaman tradition than any previous work of this kind. In this fast-paced Rashomon-like adventure story, the reader is treated to a rare insider's perspective and a unique insight into the ancient path of yoga and India's sacred traditions. Rampuri was the first foreigner to be initiated into the mystical and sometimes dangerous world of India's most ancient and mysterious order of yogis and shamans. Thirty-five years later, he is a guru. Rampuri gives us an in-depth view of many of the common elements of Yoga and Indian spirituality, religion and culture, as well as an immersion in those areas normally hidden from Western eyes. In questioning his own pre-conceived perceptions, he contradicts the Western view of India and Yoga and reveals cultural constructions that hide deeper and more compelling knowledge. BABA Autobiography of a Blue-Eyed Yogi by Rampuri The text and the guru, together (for perhaps the first time?) in the USA. Om namah Shivaya! Obviously, that which does not survive is not to be named "sanatana" . However it might be still good to put some effort from our side. Dharma is present in ppl who live in it... Secondly, it may be useful to save the texts that are in fact vanishing. Stupid indian libraries do nothing and manuscripts die one after another... In any case, all is up to God, blessed be He...
