Guest guest
This is Arun Kumar here from group.I need a clarification. I actually wanted to recite Soundaryalahari. But I recently read from the extract of Kanchi paramacharya Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati's treatise on soundaryalahari from his "Deivattin Kural" Volume6 that since the first 41 slokas of soundaryalahari deal with mantra and tantra sastras, it is not proper to read or recite them without proper initiation from a guru.Kindly clarify. Also, let me know whether it is the same case with "Durga Sapthasloki", "Lalitha Sahasranama" and especially "Lalitha Trishati" (Trishati is known to deal with shodashakri mantra intricacies). I need one more piece of information. I need reference books which deal in detail (sanskrit, english, telugu or tamil)about the various facets of srichakra (navavaranas, yoginis, kaulas, geometry, mahavidyas etc..) and whether they are available in print. I shall be grateful if I can get my doubts clarified. Thanking u, --Arun Kumar
Guest guest
I have only one comment to offer. Soundarya Lahari is recited in Kerala homes as a matter of course as is Lalita Sahasranama. No special initaition is taken for that. And Amritananda Mayi advocates recitation of LS with devotion by one and all. I have seen no ill effects. I am NOT contradicting or advocating something that Paramacharya stated. I am just stating facs without any comment. Trishati, I know is something to be handled very carefully. I have seen sudden effects. arun_ak56 <arun_ak56 wrote: This is Arun Kumar here from group.I need a clarification. I actually wanted to recite Soundaryalahari.
