Guest guest
If you read "Daughters of the Goddess" you will find that several of them achieved without a guru, most notably Amritanandamayi Ma. So, no, a guru is not necessarily needed. And yes, it is true that the mind is tricky and deceptive. People will always run towards what accords with their own inclinations. This is why there are radical sadhanas involving contact with distasteful substances such as corpse flesh and feces. One cannot hide behind facile phrases when confronted with such things...if one truly believes "all is One" then one will have no problem putting such things in one's mouth, for instance. If you cannot, well, then, there is still work to be done. Lilith M. --- NMadasamy <nmadasamy wrote: > > > "I embroidered every day for a couple of hours for > about a year.
