Guest guest
Well, let us not forget that Ganesha's vahana (vehicle) is the rat, a creature famous for its ability to get around everywhere! So one can assume that if a rat can get in somewhere, that Ganesha is there also! The image of a Deity with an elephant's head and seated on a rat helps us overcome the limitations of logic and the obstacle of a limited mind, which dictates that it should be "the other way around". True enough, on the MATERIAL PLANE, that is! But on the planes of mind, anything is possible, even elephants riding on rats! Thus the distinction between "mental reality" and "material reality" is drawn, for those with minds subtle enough to appreciate this difference. It is in this way that Ganesha serves to break down the obstacles between devotee and Deity, when correctly propitiated.
