There is no illusion no deception. Water is the fluid that allows us to live, but if it were too cold, if it were ice then it wouldn't be the vehicle of life that we understand it to be, but it is still water, it has just taken a solid form. The solid will have different physical properties than liquid, different reactions, different rules, but it is the same substance.
