Sutra [iI.3.43] says, "the soul is a part of the lord, on account of the declaration of difference.." The Bha-gita {XV.7], "In the world my part is jiva." These two Sruti and Smrti, are not opposed to one another, because the parts are merely attributed. or niskala, contemplation on [brahman] without qualities. VijNAnabhairavabhattAraka says, "Meditation on [brahman] is without parts, since he is without dependence and with no fixed resting place. It is not meditation upon form as attributing face, hands, etc. BhAskararAya's commentary Translated into English by R.
