sAntA : Tranquil

Tripura Up [sve. up., VI 19 ] says, "without parts, without motion,

tranquil."

or the syllable Sa is anta at the end of the Amrtabija [mantra] ie

Devi is the Amirtabija-mantra itself.

or AsAnta : AsA, quarters, and antA, reaching to; ie all pervading.

By this teaching Digambara's theory that the Self is limited is

refuted.
