Should Mahaganapati Sahasranama be any different?

But with stotra, it is a very good idea. I personally favor reciting the sahasranAma stotra instead of nAmAvali. The phala shruti has some important elements. Ex: Mention is made that the sahasranAma is more dearer to Ganapati than mUla mantra. It contains the 21 special names of mahAgaNapati and ends with a short prayer. Among the 21, heramba, shiva, mahAgaNapati are some of them. Hence I tend to think it is a good idea to recite it with Phalasruti. http://eprarthana.com/shopping/lamphoto/photo_details.asp?lp_id=293 Rgds. Guest guest
IMHO any stotra or mantra mere recitationis not what is called for it should be done with understanding and a lot of attention (shraddha) and Devotion (bhakti); then the recitation becomes a meditation and hence the results. If there are no results it is because one or more of the elements is not present.
