Guest guest
Kochu, Now my curiousity has gotten the better of me. Working from the assumptions (unprovable) that 1. Alexandra Kafka/alexandra_108 has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Maa Batakali website and its associated organization, and that 2. both the website and organization are founded and run by Chandra Alexandre, a Neopagan priestess you probably haven't e-met and who may never have posted anything here..... What are your thoughts on the Maa Batakali website??? (No, I'm not defending anything or anyone here. I am just dreadfully curious.) > [ Chandra's website: ] > http://maabatakali.org/ > Chandra Alexandre > http://www.byregion.net/profiles/kalichandra.html
Guest guest
very simple. Silly. mixing and matching is not the mre. Whats this "ordained" priestess called? Rashini? ever hear of such an expression not in Hinduism as far as I know. who is her initator? names are absent. But then any name can be flaunted. The poor "guru" will not know anything about his/her name being used. Silly is one word for it all. Did u notice the deafening silence from the subject under discussion? and the same silence descended once earlier when I questioned the motives behind the knowledge mining. msbauju <msbauju wrote: Kochu, Now my curiousity has gotten the better of me. Guest guest
Namaste, Hello, this has a very broad subject title that doesn't seem to match the thread. If I might guess you are really asking about a very specific website run by a very specific (or very non-specific) individual. This is N O T at all the same as "neopagan approaches to Shaktism." Speaking as someone who might be labeled as "neopagan" without being terribly inaccurate, I must say that a single website, particularly the one in question, doesn't begin to point to the many ways in which so-called neo pagans might approach, learn about, or benefit from Shaktism. Additionally, if the thread is about 1 website, then it's not even "approaches" (plural) is it? It's a single website with a single approach. I understand that there are folks here who hold a low opinion about so-called "neo paganism" and there are snake oil salespersons who pass themselves off as so-called "neo-pagans" but I feel that the best way to address these things is to be clear and specific, to avoid the "broad brush" that may tar the undeserving, and express the values that we feel demonstrate spiritual integrity. In this way others will learn about spiritual integrity which will benefit them as they learn and perhaps as they teach. Thank you! Guest guest
Dear Prainbow: Let me make it clear that i was referring to the PARTICULAR site especially after some one connected with it said what i had quoted. I have known extremely good people who come within the broad brush of neopaganism. If I have offended, I unreservedly apologise. I am fed up with knowledge miners. I would unreservedly give to genuine seekers whatever color or creed they are; but when the intention is commercial and the seeker thinks "let me trick these fellows and again" then i draw the line. prainbow61 <paulie-rainbow wrote: Namaste, Hello, this has a very broad subject title that doesn't seem to match the thread.
