An inside look at the ancient world of Indian nath sadhus, who get overlooked in the west...these are the ancient lineage of indian wandering monks who are almost aboriginal....Wish i could meet Rampuri , but will probably miss this tour... > I can't find Sarabhanga's original post on this subject..... > Anyway, for those who are interested in this book, the author's book > tour information is available online, and Amazon has some customer > reviews posted. > > (No, I haven't read the book.) > > Rampuri's website, with tour schedule: > http://www.rampuri.com/ > > Info from Amazon: > Baba : Autobiography of a Blue-Eyed Yogi > by RAMPURI > Hardcover: 256 pages > Publisher: Harmony/Bell Tower (January 25, 2005) > ISBN: 140008038X > > Here's the Amazon link. Guest guest
Namaste, There are great similarities between Nagas and Nathas, but Rampuriji has spent most of his time with the Dashanami Order. I have only seen a few pages of his manuscript (at the muddy monsoon mela at Tryambak last year), but I expect that any "Nathas" he considers were not from the Natha Sampradaya (unless very early in his story). Despite their similarities, there is a longstanding disagreement between the followers of Shankaracarya and the followers of Gorakhnath and the other Natha Gurus.
