Guest guest
Interesting. To oversimplify (forgive me), you see mixed up Hinduism, and I see Neopaganism with Shakta frosting. To be fair, this version of the website makes it MUCH clearer that the group (and website) mixes Neopagan and Hindu practices. It's not represented as Hinduism. By the way, the previous website listed Chandra's initiator and some presumably-Hindu advisors. I didn't see that in this version. Maybe I just missed it. The initiation/ordination process and the "mixing and matching" strike me as fundamentally Neopagan. I personally really, really don't know what to feel about the mixing of Hinduism and Neopaganism. Starhawk's term "spiritual strip mining" comes to mind. I am uncomfortable with the mixing. But I wonder if there is a way to combine practices that respects Hinduism. [Kochu wrote:] very simple. Silly. mixing and matching is not the mre. Whats this "ordained" priestess called? Rashini? ever hear of such an expression not in Hinduism as far as I know. who is her initator? names are absent. But then any name can be flaunted. The poor "guru" will not know anything about his/her name being used.
