Guest guest
Dear Max: You wrote, "Wow. I go away for 10 days and come back to find Chandra Alexandre under fire. So much suspicion!" Please know that is not what's happening here, if I may briefly clarify for any members who have not followed this complex thread in detail. The original question concerned an anonymous, apparently "knowledge mining" member of this group using the ID alexandra108, who occasionally sends very brief, specific and esoteric questions to this group (with cc's to any number of other Hindu-related groups), never responds to replies with even a thank-you (merely collecting the information, I assume), and then disappears until her next question. A number of members have expressed curiosity as to who this person might be and what she is doing with all of this information. I don't know the answer, or whether alexandra108's motives are good or bad -- and when we have asked her politely outright, she has maintained silence (until her next question). The plot thickened a bit when a woman who briefly beloned to this group – and who is generally quite hostile toward Shaktism – wrote to us to say that she is a member of Chandra Alexandre's organization and that Chandra and Erin are collectively alexandra108, that they have been collecting information to use against traditional Shaktism, and – ha, ha – they'll dance on our graves, etc. Crazy stuff, I know. But it was out there, so we asked, and Erin has graciously and eloquently replied and clarified the situation. Just to let Max and any other curious parties know, I consider that matter closed. I harbor no suspicions against Chandra or Erin, and – at this point – a consider the discussion an honest, interesting and civil informational exchange about the dynamics of the relationship between Shaktism and one of its American cousins. The person who sent us the information I mentioned is either misguided, misinformed, or -- most likely, I think -- mischief-making, trying to cause strife between two Devi-oriented systems. We get that every now and then. But I hope this helps clarify the matter? With warmest regards DB
