Guest guest
Dear friends, Has anyone got a spiritual view of "Simplicity" that can be applied to living life? Regards, Ambika
Guest guest
Yes, and it has to do with living in the present, surrendering to the now, and remaining open to the spirit through faith in presence.

How true. I love this whole concept of Nowness and Openess.
Guest guest
I posted this under the topic "Relationships" because that's the title of the article at the link below, but it's about simplicity, too, so I thought I'd repost for anyone who missed it before. In fact, I haven't read a single post from anyone who read the article, at least, no one posted their comments if they did read the article. The article is about stillness, and stillness simplifies even the most complicated things, so I think it's on topic with Simplicity: http://www.commonground.ca/iss/0408157/tolle.shtml Deepak Chopra says that if we come into the flow of the Unified Field (what others call God, Goddess, Life Force, etc.) sometimes things may seem chaotic, even more chaotic than before we came into that flow/field. He likens it to if you were to observe Grand Central Station, where people are boarding trains to many locations, and if there was an unexpected track change, a bunch of things need to be re-routed, so it looks even more chaotic than it had looked. When in actuality, the entire time, there is order underlying the chaos. Allow yourself to experience stillness within, the stillness of the Unified Field, and then you don't have to be tossed about by the waves and ripples of chaotic appearances/experiences. The Tolle article can apply to daily living in that as long as we don't make a "solid" i.e. "inflexible" reality out of our daily plans, what seem like inconveniences due to how they affect our schedules, or our lives, mean something else is happening, there is something else to be present to and for than what we previously expected. What could be more simple than that? This brings to mind a Talking Heads song: "Heaven/Heaven is a place/Where nothing/Nothing ever happens." , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy@s...> wrote: > > Eve__69 wrote: Yes, and it has to do with living in the present, > surrendering to the now, and remaining open to the spirit through faith > in presence. > > How true.
