Guest guest
Namaste All: I would like to invite any members of Shakti Sadhana who may at times feel the board to be "off-topic" to post their own "on topic" messages. This way, each post-er can 'be the change they want to see in the world,' to paraphrase Gandhi, and the rest of us can have the opportunity to engage with what all of our posts have to offer. Guest guest
Yeah, coonstantly pointing out the faults of others is like having ones head always in shit. Best to be self motivated and not worry about anything at all. - Mary Ann Thursday, April 21, 2005 10:37 PM Shakti Sadhana Namaste All: I would like to invite any members of Shakti Sadhana who may at times feel the board to be "off-topic" to post their own "on topic" messages. Guest guest
Thank you Mary Ann and Eve__69 You wrote: Yeah, coonstantly pointing out the faults of others is like having ones head always in shit. Best to be self motivated and not worry about anything at all. That is the same remarks I have been receiving from other members. They say : your group have no serious discussion going on etc.. or let hope for others discussion, but when I encourage them : yeah! why dont you start one. They go silence and say No thank you. I think that is normal. People are ever ready to give suggestions but nobody wants to take the initiative. What to do, that is life. But as moderators, I think its justified for us to give gentle reminder when we feel that the whole conversation is getting off topic dont you agree?. Its not not about finding fault on others. Personally I rather have this group in silence than to get carried away with discussion that have no relevance to our group. Though I support the idea that we do not necessarily have to be infocus all the time, we must have our limits.
Guest guest
Yes, I think the benefit of the moderators is that they do provide guidance when things get too far off. But the pope stuff was in response to DB's posting. I am very appreciative of DB's posts of current events, news, etc. and the discussions that ensue. I think they are most often "on point," though sometimes the discussions may go a bit afield. , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy@s...> wrote: > > Thank you Mary Ann and Eve__69 > > You wrote: Yeah, coonstantly pointing out the faults of others is > like having ones head always in shit. Guest guest
Thanks Nora. I know. I just get tired of hearing it. It gets tiring. It's like speedbumps in a conversation. I've been on SS now for a few years, ever since Adi_Shakti formed her own cult here and was termed for it. I liked her alot, and miss her. I know she has a group called Sadhana Shakti now. That's all besides the point. The point is that in all those years I hardly remember a single time that people pointing out the off-topicness ever had the slightest effect except to make people pissed off. Besides, the Pope is only one step removed from the Virgin Mary, ostensibly the closest Western Shakta idol, though to Jesus Sophia would have been the truer divine mother. - NMadasamy Friday, April 22, 2005 1:10 PM Re: Shakti Sadhana Thank you Mary Ann and Eve__69 You wrote: Yeah, coonstantly pointing out the faults of others is like having ones head always in shit. That is why I said many times, its like a training ground except that its in virtual reality. A fertile place. You just throw in any "seed" it get accepted and grow. Reminds you of the womb eh!. The power of the womb is that it does not know any distinction between brother, husband, son or father. Its accepts anything. It therefore can create social disorder. That it is said Shakti Sadhana is a very powerful Sadhana. It is really amazing too of how sometimes things unfold before our eyes in Shakti Sadhana. My favourite statement is "okay! lets see where this lead us to". There are times too that the "seed" did not get any response and die of natural death. Like the plant too sometimes you need to do some trimmings or the whole garden will look so messy.
