Guest guest Posted April 29, 2005 Report Share Posted April 29, 2005 Arko Datta, a Reuters photographer based in India, who won the premier award in the World Press Photo 2004 contest with this picture of an Indian woman mourning the death of a relative who was killed in the Asian tsunami catastrophe, collected his award at a ceremony in Amsterdam, April 24, 2005. The prestigious competition is the world's largest annual press photography contest. World Press Photo jury chairman Diego Goldberg described the winning image as 'a true spot news picture with a strong photographer's point of view.'
