The picture currently posted on the group's front page (under the

Khadgamala Devi image) is Sarvambikesha, or the "Complete Goddess."

It's a scan of an original miniature-style painting that's actually

hanging on the wall in the room where I am typing this. The artist

is the one who identified Her as Sarvambikesha; not me.

Her name is comprised of three Sanskrit terms -- sarva (complete),

ambika (mother), isha (god), thus apparently identifying Her as the

Complete Deity from whom both Feminine and Masculine forms of

divinity arise. We've had her as the "mascot" image on the front

page of the Shakti Sadhana Homepage (www.shaktisahana.org) for a few

years now.

My question is: Can any of our members tell me more about Her? I

like Her very much, I have to say; buy I've never seen any reference

to Her except for this painting. Does anyone know of any dhyana or

text describing Her? An information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks ... DB
