Guest guest Posted May 11, 2005 Report Share Posted May 11, 2005 Hello everyone, So, I am currently taking steps toward dedicating my life to Ma Kali as best I can. Starting with little baby steps I have already come some distance, but after years of exploration and contemplation I have decided to take it as far as I can. Also, I have made far too many vows to her for me to back out now! A big part of this for me involves learning Tantra. Next year I am going to be living in West Bengal for about 2 full years. This will allow me the time to gain fluency in Bangla, which I already speak something-something and also hopefully visit more Shakti Piths and study Tantra with a qualified Guru. So, does anyone here have any suggestions, or knowledge of someone to get in touch with in that area? I have already spent 11 months there before, but I take my time and make sure I do things right, rather then advertise myself as a "seeker" and associate with someone out for my money. I figured that I might as well try asking here first! I understand India is a big country and there are many places I could live and study, but Bengal has a place in my heart more so than any other. During my last stay I made a lot of trips into the country and recorded many of folk songs. I hope to complete this project in order to produce a CD here in the USA with lyric translations. Also I am a Tabla student of 5 years and my Guruji here is Bengali and can associate me with a Gurubhai of his more easily there. In the meantime I am taking photography classes as well as writing so that I can document my travels and studies as best I can.
